Designed for those seeking both challenge and beauty, this itinerary combines scenic valley rides, thrilling mountain passes, and cultural encounters with local shepherd communities. From the dramatic landscapes of the Accursed Mountains to the tranquil shores of glacial lakes, each day offers a new perspective of this unspoiled region.

With the support of e-bikes, you’ll conquer steep ascents and explore off-the-beaten-path routes, allowing more time to soak in panoramic views and enjoy authentic hospitality in traditional guesthouses. Whether it’s the charm of Plav’s lakeside town, the wild beauty of Doberdol, or the serene forests around Biogradsko Lake, this adventure promises a perfect blend of nature, culture, and exploration.

Day 01: Arrival to Vusanje accommodation place

Depending from your flights this first day will be organised after the booking and details about the flight.

Day 02: Vusanje – Gusinje – Grebaje – Popadija Katun – Taljanka (without a bike) – Popadija Katun – Gusinje – Hakanje – Plav

Distance: 43.5 km | Ascent: 1245m | Descent: 1295m
This day offers a beautiful mix of valley rides and alpine scenery. Starting from Vusanje, you’ll ride along a paved road towards Gusinje, passing through the peaceful Ropojana Valley. From Gusinje, a scenic ascent leads you into the Grebaje Valley, surrounded by dramatic peaks of the Accursed Mountains. The road transitions into a gravel 4WD track as you approach Popadija Katun. Here, you’ll leave your bikes for a short but rewarding hike to Taljanka Peak, offering panoramic views over Montenegro and Albania. After returning to your bikes, the descent back to Gusinje is thrilling, followed by a gentle ride through rural landscapes towards Plav, with its picturesque lake welcoming you at the day’s end.

Day 03: Plav – Babino Polje – Beleg Pass – Qafa Roskodol – Roshkodol

Distance: 31 km | Ascent: 1560m | Descent: 830m
Departing Plav, you’ll follow a dirt and gravel 4WD track climbing steadily through pine forests and open pastures towards Babino Polje. The ascent continues towards Beleg Pass, where the landscape opens to stunning mountain vistas. This section is a mix of rocky paths and grassy trails, ideal for e-bikes with good suspension. After reaching Qafa Roskodol, enjoy a moderate descent into the scenic Roshkodol Valley, dotted with seasonal shepherd huts and rich in alpine flora.

Day 04: Roshkodol – Belegu Pass – Hridsko Lake (optional walk) – Doberdol – Optional Lake Dashit

Distance: 32 km | Ascent: 1600m | Descent: 1450m
Today’s route is adventurous, starting with a climb back to Belegu Pass along rugged trails. The ride offers breathtaking views over untouched wilderness. A detour allows for a walk down to the enchanting Hridsko Lake, nestled in a dense pine forest—a perfect spot for a break. Continuing towards Doberdol, you’ll navigate high-mountain tracks crossing pastures and rocky outcrops. Doberdol is a remote shepherd settlement where you can explore further by bike or on foot to Lake Dashit, depending on energy levels.

Day 05: Doberdol – Cerem – Valbona

Distance: 35 km | Ascent: 720m | Descent: 1600m
This day features a spectacular descent from Doberdol along high-altitude trails. The route crosses the border into Albania, passing through scenic meadows and forests. After reaching Cerem, a quaint seasonal village, the trail continues along dirt roads and pastoral tracks, gradually descending into the majestic Valbona Valley. Expect stunning views of the jagged Albanian Alps throughout the ride.

Day 06: Valbona – Cerem – Vranica Pass B23 – Plav – Transfer to Kolasin

Distance: 36 km | Ascent: 1115m | Descent: 1120m
You’ll start with a steady climb from Valbona towards Cerem, mainly on gravel roads. The ascent to Vranica Pass is challenging but rewarding, offering panoramic views across both Montenegro and Albania. From the pass, a technical descent leads you back to Plav, where a transfer awaits for your journey to Kolasin.

Day 07: Kolasin – Kljuc – Ski Center – Pešića Jezero – Biogradsko Jezero – Kolasin

Distance: 45 km | Ascent: 1681m | Descent: 1490m

A true highlight for e-bike enthusiasts! This loop from Kolasin takes you through forested mountain roads, climbing towards the ski center. The route continues on mixed gravel and forest tracks to Pešića Lake, a serene alpine gem. From here, you’ll descend towards the famous Biogradsko Lake, located in one of Europe’s last primeval forests. After a restful break, enjoy a smooth return to Kolasin, mostly downhill.

Day 8: Transfer to airport
