Visa information for Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania

Kosovo

Citizens of the following countries: EU and Schengen member states, Vatican City, the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino, the Republic of Albania, Montenegro, and the Republic of Serbia may enter, stay in, or transit Kosovo for up to 90 days within a six-month period with a valid biometric ID.

Holders of valid travel documents issued by the Special Administrative Regions of the People’s Republic of China (Hong Kong and Macau) are exempt from the visa requirement.

Citizens of countries that normally require a visa for Kosovo, but who hold a valid biometric residence permit from a Schengen member state or a valid Schengen multiple-entry visa, are exempt from the visa requirement for stays of up to 15 days in the Republic of Kosovo.

Who does not need a visa for the region

In addition, passport holders of the following countries do not need a visa:

Montenegro and Albania

Citizens of the People’s Republic of China do not need a visa for these countries, but they do need one for Kosovo.

Russian citizens do not need a visa for Montenegro, while for Albania they are visa-exempt only during the tourist season, from May to September.
