    Gjeravica Kosovo’s highest

    Climb Gjeravica during a weekend and take a trophy home. This hike is recommended for everyone especially those who want to take it slower and use a full day without transport to climb Gjeravica Kosovo’s Highest mountain. It is also good for larger groups of people who would like to be organised and enjoy socialising. The hike is some 8 hours long and includes a visit in the source of the Ereniku River, that starts in two glacial lakes. Each one of them is suitable for swimming and fishing. Large trouts live inside these lakes. You can try this one segment while you are staying in the country and experience mountains, climb Hajla, and enjoy the hospitality of the Kosovo families. On Friday afternoon you will arrive in Peja, to meet with BN Adventure where you will be briefed about your trip and take a 4×4 ride to reach your first guest house in the village of Reka e Allages. You will be provided with a GPS which will help you navigate to Drelaj village for all those who want to make a self-guided trip. After a 40 minutes ride you will reach the house of Mustafe and Fetije Nikci, to be hosted at their home. Their guest house is one of the starting points of the famous Peaks of the Balkans trip.   • Weekend in Valbona

    Weekend in Valbona is a nice escape from both Tirana and Prishtina, or a good addition to your balkan travel. Valbona valley has become a touristic hiking destination offering one of the starting points for Peaks of the Balkans trail or just a base to do hikes around the village. The daily tours include hike to the village of Kukaj, a climb in Kollata through Qafa e Perslopit, or even a climb to the highest peak in Accursed Mountains Maja Jezerce. For visitors with families there are nice hikes in the village and one can continue the trip with Komani Lake ferry.   • Camping in Hajla weekend

    Camping There are two options for spending the night: One is the mountain huts which offer only basic accommodation: Roof, water, outdoor toilet, cooking facilities. However it is very attractive and the huts are built to fit the mountain. Second option is camping in tents which you can bring or one rent from Balkan Natural Adventure at a reasonable price. For the camping trip the water facilities of the hut can be used. In both cases there is the possibility of building a fire in the night and share a glass of wine or beer after dinner. The hike For this hiking trip one needs a four wheel drive (can be rented for 50 EUR in Peja) to get to the impressive village of Pepiq in over 1000 meters altitude. The village with very few modern buildings is mostly frozen on time, as a lot of Balkan villages are.
